Learn the first turn
Designed by Frank Chadwick. In the VPG 2009 edition, Germany aims to control Moscow after seven turns. The Soviet side aims to hold Moscow and another city; Moscow alone is a draw.
A turn gives each side a sequence of opportunities to move, attack and restore units. Combat compares the attacking and defending strengths, applies terrain effects and uses a die with a results table to determine losses or retreats.
Play the existing human-versus-computer version at Oberlabs, or read the VPG rules reference. These are external websites.
Watch The Name Of The Game’s beginner video. The video uses the older GDW edition; check differences against your rules.
Our two-human-side teaching implementation and separate combat lab remain local while public-release permissions are reviewed. This release includes no Moscow rulebook PDF or reproduced diagrams.
